ABOUT

Indie-folk songstress, Isabel Rumble, hails from a walnut farm in the southern valleys of NSW, Australia.

Raised by the riverside in a rich folk music community, Isabel’s music speaks to the heart of womanhood, love and change. With a voice that captures the dynamism of Joni Mitchell and writing reminiscent of the tenderness of Laura Marling, her performances and recordings hold an intimacy that invites listeners into a cocoon of silent wonder.

Following the release of her 2023 Folk Alliance Australia Award nominated debut album, Bird Be Brave, Isabel has been captivating audiences around the country, playing festivals and selling out venues and house concerts across seven states.

Still in the early stage of her career, in just three years Isabel has already played significant festivals including the world renowned Port Fairy Folk Festival amongst many others (Cygnet, Kangaroo Valley, Cobargo, PANAMA, Dark Mofo, Party in the Paddock) and opened for the likes of acclaimed folk duo Lior & Domini, guitar virtuoso Daniel Champagne, New Zealand’s Holly Arrowsmith and Ireland's David Keenan.

Currently recording her sophomore album, 2024 sees Isabel embarking on her first European tour.

"The light , the stars, the sky, the river, the wind, all the things that flow through her songs are filtered through her calm, gentle, peaceful voice and vision.”  (Rhythms Magazine)
