A new voice on the Australian music scene, Isabel Rumble is captivating audiences around the country. Her songs invite listeners into a cocoon of reflection on the subtleties of love, longing and hope. Nominated for Folk Alliance Australia’s Contemporary Folk Album of the Year 2023, Isabel’s debut album Bird Be Brave marks the beginning of a promising career.
Isabel has opened for the likes of acclaimed folk duo Lior & Domini, guitar virtuoso Daniel Champagne, and New Zealand’s Holly Arrowsmith. She has played at festivals including Cygnet Folk Festival, Party in the Paddock, Cobargo Folk Festival, PANAMA, Dark Mofo and Junction Arts Festival. In 2023 Isabel was selected from over 400 applicants to partake in the Women in Music Mentor program through AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association).
Following her emergence into the Australian music scene last year with standout singles Precious Burden and Solitary Dreaming, Rumble has seen widespread national and community radio play and a run of sold out shows in Victoria and Tasmania. Recorded with Tasmanian producer Luke Plumb (The Mae Trio, Ruth Hazleton) her full length debut record presents intuitively crafted songs that define a soul-stirring emerging artist.
Isabel is currently based in Naarm / Melbourne and is touring Bird Be Brave nationally throughout 2023.
